不对称合成方法学（有机催化/手性路易斯酸催化）
药物化学，生物活性化合物的合成研究
不对称催化是化学学科以及药物化学领域的前沿和研究热点，是获得光学活性化合物最高效的途径。王震博士长期从事有机合成和不对称催化工作，在手性金属配合物催化（主要是镧系路易斯酸金属催化，博士期间）以及有机小分子催化（手性氨基酸衍生的有机膦催化，博士后期间）等方面进行了系统的研究，取得了系列开拓性的创新成果。王震博士已在J. Am. Chem. Soc.，Angew.Chem. Int. Ed.，Chem. Commun.，Org. Lett.等国际权威刊物上发表论文多篇。
