    【2022-10-14】On October 13, 2022, the Party Branch of the Faculty and Staff of SPS and the Department of Chemistry, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering jointly launched a Party Day Activity in the academic lecture hall of SPS, the theme of which is “To greet the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, play the leading role of Party member teachers to serve for the national strategy to carry out organized scientific research”. The meeting was chaired by Wang Chenhui, deputy secretary of the Party Branch of SPS, and the two branches conducted in-depth discussions focusing on “organized scientific research”.


    Professor Fan Xing, secretary of the Party Branch of the Faculty and Staff of the Department of Chemistry, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, first introduced the implementation of organized scientific research in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, especially in the Department of Chemistry. Furthermore, he introduced the scientific research directions and welcomed organized scientific research across colleges and disciplines. Subsequently, Professor Li Yizhou, Professor Zhang Min and Associate Professor Wang Chenhui from SPS, and Professor Gou Qian, Assistant Research Professor Liao Lili, and Professor Fan Xing of the Department of Chemistry of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering introduced the scientific research progress, talent construction and future planning of “organized scientific research” in their respective disciplines, respectively. After the seminar, the participating faculties had in-depth discussions on “organized scientific research”, familiarized themselves with each other's research directions, and laid a good foundation for future cooperation. Finally, Zhang Yunhuai, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and Ling Ming, Secretary of the Party Committee of SPS, respectively concluded and put forward hopes and instructions for “organized scientific research”. Party members said that they would take this as an opportunity to cooperate extensively, and to be committed to "organized scientific research" in the context of interdisciplinarity.
