【2023-05-12】On May 12, 2023, the 3rd National DEL (DNA-Encoded Library) Technology Symposium (2023) was held in Chongqing University, co-hosted by School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPS) of Chongqing University and Guangdong Innovation Center for Small Molecule Drug Discovery, and organized by the Shenzhen Life Sciences and Biotechnology Association. Over three-hundred attendants including teachers and students joined this symposium. Thirteen invited speakers, including Professor Li Xiaoyu from the University of Hong Kong, gave keynote speeches.

        At the beginning, Professor Yan Hailong, dean of SPS, delivered a speech and gave sincere gratitude to the people for their support in the development of SPS. Professor Li Yizhou, vice dean, reviewed the development of DEL technology and introduced all the speakers.

        The symposium featured thirteen talks. Prof. Li Xiaoyu from the University of Hong Kong gave a talk entitled "New approaches for selection of DNA-encoded chemical libraries". Prof. Yang Guang from Shanghai Tech University gave a talk entitled " Natural products enriched DEL (nDEL)". Prof. Lu Xiaojie from Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica gave a talk entitled "Covalent DNA encoding based on heterocyclic scaffold". Prof. Tian Changlin from University of Science and Technology of China gave a talk entitled "DNA-peptide-coupled chemical synthesis". Prof. Zhao Xinfeng from Northwest University gave a talk entitled "Construction of DNA-encoded traditional Chinese medicine molecule library/DNA-Encoded Libraries Derived from Natural Products and selection of the active ingredients based on receptor chromatography". Prof. Dang Yongjun from Chongqing Medical University gave a talk entitled "Multidisciplinary-based target discovery and validation". Prof. Zhang Xuejing from Sun Yat-sen University gave a talk entitled "Development of DNA-compatible chemical reactions based on the RASS strategy". Prof. Lin Weilin from Suzhou Institute of Systems Medicine gave a talk entitled "Screening vs selection ODAST microarray and DEL technology". Dr. Zhang Gong from Chongqing University gave a talk entitled "DNA-encoded chemical library-inspired new biocompatible reaction discovery ". Dr. Xiong Feng from Guangdong Innovation Center for Small Molecule Drug Discovery gave a talk entitled "DEL technology in the discovery of tumor immunotherapy targets". Dr. Liu Guansai from Chengdu HitGen Inc. gave a talk entitled "New applications of DNA-encoded chemical libraries". Vice President Xia Bing from XtalPi Inc. gave a talk entitled "From DEL to X-DEL, XTALPI's holistic approach". Dr. Su Wenji from WuXi App Tec. gave a talk entitled "Progress in the application of DEL".

After the talks, eight speakers attended round table to discuss the future of DEL.
